SAISD Tourney. Anxious Eagles wait to take the field for their tournament game on Friday with Eastwood.

SAISD Tourney. Eastwood left fielder Rigoberto Campos tries unsucessfully to steal home on Eagle catcher Charles Morton. Campos didn't slide, an antic that should have resulted in his ejection from the game. Perhaps the home plate umpire felt sorry for the gasping base runner who was awfully slow to get up after his collision with Morton, a 6'1" 241 pound starting defensive tackle for the Akins varsity football team. The runner was out. In fact, this 6th inning action was the second time in the game that Morton tagged Campos out at the plate.
