Umpires were more than an hour late for the 11 AM opening game of the scheduled doubleheader. Coaches Voge and Luhrman survey Bowie's compact baseball yard.

Eagles had an extra long time to warm up at Bowie's field. Coach Voge uses the fungo bat to hone the abilities of the team's outfielders.

Eagle 2nd baseman Adam Samaniego trails the Bowie runner, and the feigned "throwdown" from the catcher goes unsold. Not technically a stolen base, this taking of the bag would more properly be attributed to "defensive indifference."

A light rain falls and play continues. Lightning flashes, and the umpires interrupt the game in the bottom of the 3rd inning, requiring all players to leave the field immediately.
