Postgame knuckleknocks.

Mercy! The final scoreboard tells the tale.

Eagles leave the field.

Neither the Cougars nor the Eagles turned in a very impressive defensive performance in this non-district contest. Cougar pitchers struck out 5, while the Eagle pitching cadre managed just 1 strikeout for the entire game, which was abbreviated to 6 innings by the 10-run mercy rule.

The difference in this game was the offense. Canyon had 11 hits, while the Eagles had only 5. After a horrendous error-laden  9-run 2nd inning, the Eagles seemed unable to regroup.

Hits for the Eagles were recorded by Fabian, Treviņo, Leal and Morton (who had two).
