Two Eagles Seniors were chosen to participate in the 2019 AABCA All-Star game on Monday, June 10, at Dell Diamond. The annual contest divides the area’s outstanding players into teams from the North and South. Eagles Andrew Wilk and David Wilson were named to the South team.
Congratulations to these worthy Eagles All-Stars!!!

On February 28, 2019, at 11:27 AM CST, Eagles Head Coach Gene Salazar notched his 300th career win, as his Eagles defeated the Glenn Grizzlies in the 2019 AISD Tournament by a score of 11-3.

Akins Baseball Booster Club Scholarship
For the second year, the Akins Baseball Booster Club has awarded monetary scholarships to college-bound Eagles Seniors. The 2019 amount of $600 was granted to each of three recipients.

Best Pitcher: The winner for 2019 is right-hander Nico Romero. Injured during a game in early March, Romero was out for weeks, before returning to resume his place as go-to pitcher for the Eagles.
