WEBMASTER'S NOTE: This time limited game ended in an 8 - 8 tie. The tournament schedule did not permit the resolution of the game through the standard baseball tradition (and rule) of playing extra innings. Instead, the game was decided by the non-standard, non-baseball process of counting the runners of each team who had reached third base. Akins had 10 such runners; Floresville had 12, and was summarily declared the winner. The procedure for awarding the game was so concocted and irregular that the standard baseball scoring software used by this web site could not handle it properly.
