IMPORTANT ... ALL STAR PAPERWORK!!!! ... IMPORTANT
Practice has been changed to 2:30 Sunday. I need the kids to bring a copy of their birth certificate and
medical insurance card. I also need one parent to be there, so they can sign some additional papers in order for
the team to get certified. I have to attend a baseball meeting @ 5:00 Sunday and need to have all this done before then. If I can't get all the paperwork, then we can't play.

POSTPONED ... SUMMER LEAGUE TEAM PARTY POSTPONED
The Summer Eagles team party previously scheduled for Sunday, June 29 has been POSTPONED. It turned out that too many team members were unavailable on that date.
A new date for the team party will be announced.

SUMMER LEAGUE TEAM PARTY
West Lake Beach (a private picnic/party venue on Lake Austin).
Sunday, June 29, 2003 - 1 PM. $5 per player. Parents and families are welcome. Bring your own drinks and a side dish to share. Meat will be
provided.
DIRECTIONS: From MoPac - take 15th/Enfield Street (west) until it dead ends, turn left onto Lake Austin Blvd. Turn right onto Red Bud Trail at the stoplight. Turn right onto West Lake Drive by the gas station. Stay on West Lake Drive for 1.9 miles . At that point West Lake Drive will make a turn to the right. Follow along the water to West Lake Beach.
From Loop 360 - take West Lake Drive (east) for 3 miles. At that point West Lake Drive will make a turn to the left. Follow along the water to West Lake Beach.

BASEBALL BOOSTER CLUB MEETING JUNE 25
The booster club will be hold its monthly meeting on 06/25/03 at 7:00 pm.
Entrance to the building will be at the south side of the building, closest
to the tennis courts.
The meeting will be held in the Eagles Nest.

BASEBALL / SOFTBALL BANQUET MAY 17
A Softball/Baseball Banquet has been set for May 17, 2003 from 5:00 to 8:00
p.m. Please plan on joining us for the evenings activities. There will be food, music and speakers. The Baseball Booster Club is asking for parents
to purchase tickets for the dinner; the cost will be $8.00 per person. Those planning to attend please respond by May 12, 2003. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
An envelope will be going home with your son on Friday May 2. Please return
it by May 12 to Coach V.

Special Booster Club Meeting Wednesday, April 9, 7 pm
President Lori Castro of the Akins Baseball Booster Club has called a special
meeting for April 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Eagles Nest at Akins High School. Coaches Villanueva, Luhrman and Brantley have been invited to address concerns expressed by parents of baseball team members. Written questions may be
submitted in advance. Also invited to attend are Akins principal Mary Alice Dieke and Akins athletic coordinator Phil Bounds.
