	Brandon Rivera runs for pitcher Leal, who hit a 5th-inning single. Pinson grounded out, but moved the runner to 2nd.

APR 08, 2006.

Outfielders Evans and Pinson both lose their lids in front of the hill at Nelson, but Evans snags the long fly of Anderson’s Podrebarac to end the inning.

Trojan 1st baseman Travis Wilson scores on a 6th-inning sacrifice fly by outfielder Milam Raemsch to tie the score at 6.

Jacob Saldaña hits this ball to Trojan shortstop Stuart MacInnes, who errs on the throw to 1st.

A 6th-inning base hit for Eagle 3rd baseman Daniel Fabian.

Martin Salinas goes to the mound to protect a 1-run Eagle lead in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Tied 5-5 in the bottom of the 7th.

Following a base on balls, Leal is pushed to 2nd by a Michael Flores sacrifice bunt.

Okay, here’s the payoff. Top of the 8th. Derek Evans at bat. Dropped 3rd strike. Deja vu?

No, this time Evans beats the throw to 1st and will go on to score.

Eagle outfielder Ulises Castillo lays down an 8th-inning bunt. It’s intended as a sacrifice to move the runner, but speedy Castillo is past 1st base before the Trojan 2nd baseman can get to the ball.

Guerra bunts safely in the 8th. Score still tied 5-5. Bases loaded with Eagle runners.
